Roosevelt studied at Harvard University where he was a history major. At Harvard, Roosevelt enrolled in many economics courses as well. Roosevelt later recalled that everything he was taught in his economics courses was wrong and he had to unlearn what he was taught. Roosevelt was the editor of the Harvard Crimson newspaper and he was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. He graduated from Harvard as a C student. After Harvard, Roosevelt went on to study law at Columbia University. However, he dropped out of Columbia once he passed his bar exam.
