Undergraduate Education: Economics

Growing up Smith was a strong student who enjoyed reading history. Smith enrolled at Yale University where he was a member of The Skull and Bones secret society as well as the Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. For one of his papers at Yale, Smith wrote about a need for a reliable overnight delivery service in a computerized information age, but he only received a C on the paper because the professor thought it was not feasible.  Smith majored in economics and joined the army after his graduation.
