Jack Black (Education)


Undergraduate Education: Theatre Arts

Black studied at the University of California in Los Angeles where he majored in theatre arts.  At UCLA, Black joined a group called “The Actor’s Gang”.The gang’s motto was “dare to be stupid”, heavily influenced Black’s style of acting. While he was part of the group, he landed his first role treading the floorboards in the play “Carnage” at the 1989 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
