Dimon studied at Tufts University where he majored in psychology and economics. At Tufts, Dimon wrote a thesis which ended up helping him get a job working at Weill’s Hayden Stone one summer. Sandy Weill would eventually become Dimon’s mentor. Dimon then enrolled at Harvard Business School where received his MBA. At Harvard, Dimon met his future wife and took his first step into the world of finance by spending a summer working at Goldman Sachs After graduating from Harvard, Dimon turned down offers from firms including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley to work with his old mentor Sandy Weill. Dimon also graduated as a Baker Scholar, an award given to those graduating in the top five percent of the class.
