Undergraduate Education: Mathematics & Physics (DROPOUT)

Ellison originally enrolled at the University of Illinois but dropped out after the death of his adopted mother. He later enrolled at the University of Chicago as a mathematics and physics major but he dropped out from there as well. Ellison was able to teach himself computer programming in one of his physics classes and worked as a contract programmer for various different companies after he dropped out of college. Ellison was known for being a mediocre student, and hated following the rules.
