Hoffman completed his undergrad at Stanford University where he majored in symbolic systems. At Stanford, Hoffman was the founder of the Symbolic Systems Forum and a recipient of the Marshall Scholarship. Recently Hoffman has returned to Stanford to teach a class on “blitzscaling”. After graduating from Stanford, Hoffman went on to study at Oxford University where he received his masters degree in philosophy with the goal of becoming an academic. He would later however choose to pursue entrepreneurship, as he wanted to have a bigger impact on society. At Oxford, Hoffman won the Matthew Arnold Prize.
