Undergraduate Education: Interdisciplinary
Graduate Education: Business

Schwarzman was an interdisciplinary student at Yale University. A program that involved the study of psychology, sociology, anthropology and biology. Schwarzman said he was a student who was very involved in student life and chose Yale because he saw a kid walking down the street one day wearing tan chinos, bass weejuns, a blue long-sleeved shirt with a button-down collar, and after seeing that kid he decided that he wanted to be just like him. At Yale, Schwarzman became a member of the Skull and Bones secret society and he has donated $150 million to the school as an alumni. After graduating from Yale, he befriended Larry Noble who helped him get a job in the financial industry. However, Schwarzman had never taken an accounting or finance course during his undergrad so he decided to return to school for his masters degree in business administration which he completed at Harvard.
