Tom Hanks (Education)
Hanks considered himself a lousy high school student with low SAT scores and had no chance on being accepted into any prestigious school. Hanks was eventually accepted to a community college called Chabot where he even made the dean’s list. After taking some courses there he transferred to the California State University of Sacramento where he was a theatre major. Hanks aced most of his theatre classes but struggled in many of his other courses, including his zoology class which he nearly failed for killing his fruit flies. Hanks later received an internship at the Great Lake Shakespeare Festival, which caused him to dropout of school.
